She's Allergic to Cats
“Everyone is a lost dog.” Michael Pinkney (Michael Pinkney) is a dog groomer living in a rat-infested Hollywood dive with dreams of a bigger creative life (when we first meet him, he’s struggling to raise financing for an all-cat remake of CARRIE). At home, he makes what he refers to as “weird video art that nobody wants to watch”. One day on the job, he meets Cora (Sonja Kinski), the girl of his dreams. “When you’re cutting their nails, is it supposed to bleed that much?” she asks, as he stares at her lovingly. Easily distracted, creatively in knots and now in some sort of love, Michael’s about to embark on a whole new dangerous trip.
Winner of Best Film, Best Actor

– Andrew Todd, Birth.Movies.Death
"...promises to be an instant cult classic."
– Justine Smith, VICE
"It’s like Guy Maddin’s deeply weird early films shot through a ketamine-fuelled YouTube binge"
– Alex Rose, Cult Montreal
"Endlessly dazzling, deliriously perverse and rapturously romantic."
– Greg Klymkiw, The Film Corner
"Strangely Fascinating...I wouldn't be surprised if She's Allergic to Cats ends up becoming a cult classic."
– Sean Kelly, Sean Kelly On Movies
"Nightmarishly funny...It’s like catching a spastic case of the giggles just as a panic attack is coming on."
– Greg Whalley, 366 Weird Movies
"Certainly, there is no other movie quite like it...Be prepared to walk away dazed, confused and dying to talk about it."
– Chris Alexander, comingsoon.net
